I found these on the path today. Aren't they lovely? Blackbird, I suppose - maybe there was a fight, probably about whose beak is the buttercuppiest yellow.
At the moment, walking for more than five minutes is a strain, so I'm working hard to squeeze every last drop from each outing. My neighbours have a honeysuckle in full bloom (mine is still only budding), and the roses around the arch are wonderfully fragrant. As are the cows in the field behind the house.
